Are you mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills? No experience with trailers or snow plows is necessary. All training is done in-house.
This is a hybrid position. You will act as Porter as needed, moving trailers, vehicles and equipment using a forklift, tractor and other equipment. As Assistant Service Technician, you will also assist our Service Technicians and learn their valuable skills in the process.
JTI Trailers is Cleveland’s premiere trailer dealership, founded in 1935. We service, repair, perform maintenance and inspections on non-CDL trailers. We also install and service trailer hitches and snow and ice equipment.

-Monday through Friday 8 AM to 5 PM, if possible, one Saturday per month 8 AM to 2PM

Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- A great attitude, strong desire to learn new skills and grow
- Punctual: Desire to show up on time every day and start making some money
- Reliable: We can count on you every day to fulfill your responsibilities
- Mechanically inclined and skilled in use of basic tools
- Efficient: We get the jobs done faster so we can fit more jobs in
- Good problem-solving skills
- Able to stand for 8 hours a day, consistently walking and able to lift 100 lbs
- Valid Ohio driver’s license
Additional Qualifications

- Any safety training
- Experience with forklift, tractor
- 6 months to 2 years of technical training or experience
Compensation
Pay is hourly, commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for tools & equipment care.
- Assist Service Technicians with billable work.
- Learn skills needed to assist Service Technicians.
- Pull parts for Service Technicians to increase overall productivity.
- Move trailers, vehicles and equipment in and out of the shop to increase overall productivity using forklift, tractor and other equipment.
- Maintain a clean work area and all other areas of the shop.
- Meet weekly efficiency goals, utilization goals and productivity goals.
- Meets minimum billable hours per week.
- Responsible for maintaining a safe working environment in the shop area and reporting all accidents to Human Resources immediately.
